MOTHERS DAY 2022 IN WORDS AND PICTURES

SPEECH BY THE NEW PRESIDENT Lolo Mrs Charity Nwajei

Through Mary our mother, we succeed!
My dear mothers,
I welcome you all to this 2022 Mother’s Day Gala Night celebration. We thank the Lord for making it possible for us to be alive and be gathered here tonight. The pandemic of the last two years stopped us from this event. It is yet again that time of the year when we all gather to celebrate ourselves. So let’s relax and enjoy the evening.
Few weeks ago the whole world celebrated the most beautiful part of being a woman, the bed rock of the family and the nations at large. We are the pillars of every home; we weather every storm, put smiles on every face even if it hurts! So tonight, we are celebrating our strength, our beauty and the amazing nature that we have as mothers.
As mothers, we take up every position and perform each task amazingly! Recently, I watched a video that went Viral! It was about a job interview and the suitable candidate for the job was a mother! Very amazing indeed!! We thank God for giving us that strength.
Being a mother is like going into a battlefield with love, laughter, understanding, support, tears, hope, prayers and faith; because we know that with God, we are winning and coming out of every situation stronger.
As we celebrate tonight, let’s not forget that God has put us in this position to train our kids in the Lord’s way. To live justly, to be kind to others, be a helping hand to everyone. So please sisters, let’s take up this role of motherhood with so much dignity and pride. Let’s also continue to perform each task according to the will of God and bear in mind that we are preparing generations not to forget Christ.
We should live our lives so that people will emulate and believe in Christ because of the way we lived. Let’s make our Bible a daily bread for us and our families, lets welcome everyone around us with love, and if we must correct, do it with love. Let’s remember the orphans and the needy in our Community and by doing all these, we are making the world a better place.
To our priest, Fr Cornelius Nwaogwugwu, CM we thank you for your spiritual guidance….God will continue to bless you.
I want to thank in a special way, our husbands here tonight for coming out in their numbers to support we the wives, we know we can always count on you. I say thank you.
To our Matron and all the previous officials that are here tonight, we thank you all for dedicating your time in making sure the Catholic Women Organization remains timeless.
I want to assure you all that I and my elected officers will continue to build on the established foundation.
And to all the committees deep within CWO General, I thank you all for the immeasurable time you all have invested in making sure today is successful. I am grateful.
To all the leaders of the respective Centers in the African Chaplaincy in the Archdiocese of Dublin present here tonight, I say a very big thank you for your relentless sacrifices. You are the operation managers in your centers serving as the pillars of our faith organization.
Finally, I want to take this moment to appreciate all our guests, friends and family for coming out tonight to support the Catholic Women Organization Dublin. So please relax and enjoy the evening.
Thank you and God bless you all
