LATEST NEWS AND EVENTS IN THE CATHOLIC AFRICAN CHAPLAINCY DUBLIN.

19TH FEB 2022 FAMILY ROSARY ANNOUNCEMENT


  1. We thank Balbriggan Centre for hosting last Saturday’s online Family Rosary,. Next Family Rosary will be hosted by Blanchardstown Centre on Saturday 26th of February 2022 via Zoom @ 8pm. At the last Rosary, there were 35 individual devices connected to the service . We thank everyone who joined in.
  2. Last Sunday 20th of February was the 3rd Sunday of the Month and Our Chaplaincy Masses will took place at Tallaght Centre: St Aidan’s Parish, Brookfield, Tallaght at 20.30am and the Lucan/Clondalkin Centre: Immaculate Conception Parish, Clondalkin at 2pm. We thank all participants. Next Sunday Masses will celebrated in Blanchardstown and Swords Centres.

Please note that Covid-19 guidelines still apply to our in-person programmes especially as it relates to wearing of masks.

  1. We remember all our Church members in need of our support and prayers: the sick, expectant mothers, unemployed, students, those seating for exams, families experiencing difficulties, fruit of the womb, right Marriage Partner, homeless families, all who are bereaved and all in various needs, may God bless them all, those who travelled may God grant them protections and journey mercies. Amen.
  2. Dearest people of God, we are invited to kindly join in the joyous celebration of the ordination to the permanent diaconate of Brother Victor Okafor, in the parish of St. Martin De Porres on Saturday 26th February 2022, at 19:00.

Victor will be the first non Irish permanent Deacon to be ordained in the Dublin Diocese. We praise God for this development. The Chaplain and PC strongly encourage all our members to grace the ordination Mass and bless our brother with gifts as the spirit leads us. The PC will issue a full advisory on this historic event. Please stay tuned. In the meantime, please Victor in your prayers!

  1. The death has been announced of Mr Peter Uduchukwu, in Nigeria on Wednesday 9/2/22. He was the younger brother of our dear brother Tobe Uduchukwu.
    Brother Tobe, can be reached on 089 977 7991. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Uduchukwu family at this time.

The death was previously announced of Mrs Dorcas Adepoju whose death occured in Nigeria. Late Mrs Adepoju is the mother of Sis Florence Ejike
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Ejike and Adepoju families.

The Chaplaincy also received the sad news of the departure of Bro Ugochukwu Dike’s uncle Mr. Dominic Nwachukwu Osademe who reportedly passed away in Nigeria, after a brief illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Osademe and Dike families.

  1. We remember those celebrating their birthdays this month . We wish them many more years of Divine Blessings and Protections. Amen.
  2. A gentle reminder that our African Chaplaincy Family Rosary continues every Saturday via our recurrent zoom link at 8pm. All are welcome.
  3. Despite the recent removal of most Covid-19 restrictions, we are reminded that the virus is still very much around. As a result, we continue to ask everyone to be mindful and to observe all the guidelines put in place to keep us all safe.
  4. The Chaplaincy enjoins everyone to participate in the ongoing Synod in the Catholic church tagged “A Journey Together”. This is a multi lateral consultation process designed to improve things in our lives, family, church, community and the globe. Our members are asked to participate in this process through their local parishes.
  5. We thank our dear chaplain and all church functionaries for their dedication to the service of God and mankind. May God continue to bless and increase you through Christ our Lord we pray, Amen

The African Chaplaincy Of The Catholic  Archdiocese  of Dublin is a vibrant worshiping community of people of many tongues and tribes and nations of African extraction and all who desire to worship in the spirit that is true to our native air.

To God be the glory, the African Chaplaincy has continued to grow from strength to strength and has recorded great improvements in the Organisation of spiritual events aimed at bringing the African community to worship together..
