Catholic Women Organisation (CWO)

 

✝️ We are a religious organization and an umbrella body for all practising Catholic Women.

✝️The aim is to work, pray, promote and expand the kingdom of God among all people.

✝️The mission of the organization is to promote the Catholic Women participation in the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ through the work of evangelization and human development; foster principles of Catholic education in our families, a spirit of cooperation, unity and goodwill among all Catholic Women; promote devotion to our Mother Mary, holiness of life among Catholic women through collective prayers, devotions and work of mercy; inculcate Catholic faith in our children and represent women’s interest in the Chaplaincy council and other Lay Apostolic Bodies; work towards mutual corporation between the organization and other bodies under the African chaplaincy.

✝️The motto of the Organization is LOVE, UNITY AND SERVICE TO GOD AND HUMANITY.

✝️The various salutations are: AVE! With the response; “MARIA” or “GLORY BE TO JESUS”, “HONOUR TO MARY” or “THROUGH MARY our mother, WE SUCCEED”.

✝️The organization’s yearly calendar includes Mother’s Day Celebration (marked by Retreat, Dinner and Holy Mass); Pilgrimages, Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the last Saturday of November, annual Night Vigil in December to mark the feast day of the organization (the feast of The Immaculate Conception of The Blessed Virgin Mary).
