THE AFRICAN CHAPLAINCY ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 4th March 2023.

  1. We Thank Clondalkin / Lucan Centre for hosting today’s Family Rosary, there were (31) devices connected to today’s service. Next weeks Family Rosary will be hosted by the Phibsboro Centre on the 11th of March.
  2. Our African Chaplaincy Mass for the 5th of March will take place as follows:
    1) Phibsboro Centre, St Peter’s Parish, Phibsboro @ 2:15pm
    2) Balbriggan Centre, SS Peter and Paul Parish, Main Street, Balbriggan @ 5:15pm.
  3. We remember all our Church members in need of our support and prayers: the sick, expectant mothers, unemployed, students, those seating for exams, families experiencing difficulties, fruit of the womb, right Marriage Partner, homeless families, all who are bereaved and all in various needs, may God bless them all, those who travelled may God grant them protections and journey mercies. Amen.
  4. We remember those celebrating their birthdays this week and the month of March. We wish them many more years of Divine Blessings and Protections, Amen.
  5. We continue to remind our members that the African Chaplaincy Family Rosary continue to hold every Saturday via zoom at 8pm. All are welcome.
  6. Members are reminded that we are in Lent and are encouraged to observe fasting and prayers as well as our online Station of the Cross every Friday at 8pm. We ask our Centre coordinators to please post the zoom link on relevant platforms.
  7. With heavy heart, we once again announce the passing of the father-in-law of Sister Judith Nwanze of Balbriggan Centre. Late Mr. Jeremy Orji passed recently in Nigeria shortly after the passing of his wife 5 months ago.

Please, let’s remember the Orji & Nwanze families in our prayers🙏.

8. The death was reported of the mother-in-law of our brother Soter Agbaw-Ebai of the Swords Centre. We pray that her soul will rest in peace, Amen 🙏

9. Also from Swords Centre, our brother Calistus Ogechi lost his dear mother. Late Mrs Scholastica Ogechi reportedly died after a brief illness. We commiserate with the Ogechi family and pray for the departed soul. May her soul rest in peace, Amen 🙏

10.The Chaplaincy commiserates with our members who have lost loved ones during this period. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen.

11.We are reminded that International Women’s Day comes up on Wednesday 8th of March. This will be followed by Mothers Day on Sunday 19th of March, 2023. These dates offer us special opportunities to rekindle our love and respect for mothers and women in general through prayers and acts of kindness and care.

12.We are reminded that the 17th of March is St. Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland and Nigeria and perhaps many other countries and Pious Orgs. There will be parades in most communities for families that may like to participate.

13. We continue to give thanks to God for the life of our children who are preparing for their Holy Communion and Confirmation. We pray that God would strengthen their faith and commitment to His will and purpose for their lives, through Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

14. We congratulate our brother Sir Prince Elochukwu Agbai, (KSJI) on his installation recently as a Knights of St. John International in Nigeria.

We wish him the blessings of God and many more Divine favours, Amen

15.We thank our dear chaplain, all church functionaries and the entire membership of the African Catholic Chaplaincy Family for your dedication to the service of God and mankind. May God continue to bless and increase you as you serve in His vineyard through Christ our Lord we pray, Amen
